ADDITIONAL PARTS NEEDED TO INSTALL:
This is what “the other guys” will never tell you! No, this harness is not 100 percent complete as that is nearly impossible to do. There were 12 years of the classic Bronco plus a nearly endless list of accessories and options that can be added! The following list will at least make your install easier, And, (hopefully) without 12 additional orders for small parts. Remember, All of the following parts may not be necessary for your model year Bronco.
- Battery cables. Because these were different between years and engine sizes they are not included with any new harness available.
- Glove box liner. Fuse box does not mount into the factory location of a 1971-1977 fuse box, New glove box liner without fuse box hole is required for instillation. If using vintage air conditioning you will use the glove box liner included with that kit.
- Ground strap kit. The majority of electrical issues in automobiles is caused by faulty grounds. We highly reccomend installing a North East Classic Autowire ground strap kit.
- Brake warning light socket. If you are planning on using the OEM style brake warning light lens on your dash you will need the bulb socket. You can cut off and re-use your original or buy a new one that we offer seperatly.
- Washer pump connector. These differed between years so we do not include this connector. We have these available for purchase seperatly.
- Harness clips. Engine compartment, Chassis, And taillight harness need clips to install. We offer OEM style or “Zip” style clips to secure the wiring to the Bronco.
- Brake light switch. The brake light switch also differed between years and is therefore not included.
- Dash mounted hazzard switch. (1966-1973). We offer this replacement switch seperatly. If you are using an aftermarket tilt column chances are the hazzard switch will be on the column so the dash mounted switch can be deleted.
- Fuel sending unit connectors. These are only needed if using factory style fuel tanks. You will need 1 for a single tank, or 2 if your Bronco also has an auxillary fuel tank.
- OEM Heater harness. The short blower motor harness is not included with this kit. If only running heat, you will re-use the original 2 wire harness section.
- Marker light harnesses. The 2 front and 2 rear marker light harnesses are not included and are only needed if using 1970-1977 OEM style marker light lenses.
- Misc. supplies. Heat shrink tubing, Butt connectors, Electrical tape, Etc. No matter what we include you will always need something else for your particular application / options.
